A New One

I'm not sure about this piece. It's not how I usually write. I'm not sure if this is me, but it was in my head so I suppose on some level, it is.

The kids are in the back of the coffee shop
Again
Third time this week
They sip whatever it is they’re drinking
Not registering when the glass is finally empty
They’re engrossed
There are quick kisses
Mid sentence
Silent conversation
Holding hands like they’re breakable
Bursts of laughter
They’re not young
But innocence is there
It’s like they’ve never done this before
You can tell

i really like that it seems like the author is witnessing it in an almost envious way. Well that's the way I read it.

Good job!

Bambola,
this is beautiful :)
I've actually read this at least 5 times this week;
I always thought I had commented but I guess not.
It makes me feel nostalgic,
in such a fantastic yet sad way.
Coffee shops and little cafes are the best places to sit back and dream.

All my love dear one,
x
