Gotta love the Aussie iiNet ads. Is it just me or is that guy hilarious? It's probably the accent. This means that our internet goes to dial up during the transition phase.
Are we that technologically dependent that we no longer know how to USE dial up? Uhm...yeah.
So for the past 3 days (which have been the weekend for us) I've had no internet. No reading of blogs, no checking of emails, no facebook (yes I'm an addict), no catching up on the goss.
To make matters worse, mum took the book I wanted to read. :( Harumph. Usually I can check my FB and my Gmail on my phone ( I told you I was addicted), but it was failing too. My life has come to an aburpt halt over the weekend and I've had to find other things to occupy my time.
Today, I finally had enough. I went to our usual haunt (Kez, you know the one) and have spent the last 2 hours or so reading up on all your wonderful blogs. Unfortunately it's been a barrage of awesome posts (all of you), divine photos (Una Bella Vita), sweet stories (Flair to Remember), it's been so much to process!
This weekend has been surprisingly full, even with the lack of internet.
Drinking games with brothers and friends
watching the AFL grandfinal
except missing half, due to the aforementioned drinking games
helping cousins fix houses
my job for the day...smash the left over tiles for the mosaic bath
visiting fantastic breweries at the other end of town

getting looks from people as you walk down the street
I like to think it's cause I'm THAT cool
discovering WONDERFUL alcoholic beverages

watching the night Grand Prix,

sleeping in,

eating French toast with strawberries

sitting at coffee shops and blogging an almost photo-less post.

Woohoo - that 'pub at the other end of town' is TOTALLY my favourite. The food is MAGNIFICENT. Not to mention the cider and beer!!! I'd recognise photos of it anywhere :)
Glad you've had an action packed weekend!
