The Story of the Caterpillar

It all started with a doze in the sun.
The unexpected weather a welcome change for our fuzzy friend.

All dozed up, and all the z's caught up on, it's off the top of the bird feeder to the pavement at the base of the clothesline. It's a real classic, no plastic parts on this one!

The pavement is as wide as it is long, there is colour in one direction, but a little cooler garage in another, a big open yard behind a rather large fence, and the house in the last direction.

Which way to go? Such a tough decision. There weren't any obstacles on the way to the cooler garage, so as is customary, the path of least resistance is taken.

Distracted for but a fleeting moment and our fuzzy friend is gone. Off to entertain another post-teen lass with nothing better to do than take photos of rarely seen creatures.

I got funny looks on my walk the other day because I was moving all the fuzzy caterpillars out of the way of oncoming cyclists. But they were so cute and I didn't want them to get squished!

Just think of the butterflies that will flock to you one day because you turned their baby self into model material!
