You guys all did it! You're amazing!
My favourite question out of those was "what would you save if your house was on fire?" I know that we wouldn't have the time to think about it if it actually happened, but we don't really want it to happen anyway.
1. If work sent you on paid leave for a year, what would you do in that year?
TRAVEL! It's not a question I had to think long and hard about. When I first saw these questions, this was meant to reflect the person’s inner most desire. It begs the question, what are you doing now so you can do those things in your spare time? Well, because work simply isn’t going to give me 12 months paid leave, I’ve booked 2 months… paid leave. Bliss isn’t it?
2. What’s your most embarrassing moment?
My first ever date with an old boyfriend. He & two of his friends were going to a place called Onyx. I was invited to go along, even though I was underage and my parents let me. (I was never & am still not that party girl that goes out every weekend) When I asked him what type of place it was he said he didn’t know, I Googled it, and found out it was a jazz bar (during the week).
We were going on a Friday/Saturday night. On those nights, it’s a club. What did I wear? *shudder* floor length boho skirt, pink tube top, denim jacket & low slung belt. Thank Christ his mate new the owners, we walked straight in, no ID check for me, when it was clear I was so unbelievably CLUELESS! Most. Embarrassing. Moment. Ever.
3. If your house were on fire, what would be the one thing you save?
My laptop. It has pretty much everything important on it, all my photos, my documents, my music. Same goes for my handbag. It has the thumb drive that holds all my creative stuff and my iPod which has the back up of all my photos that aren’t on the laptop.
4. What is the biggest misconception people have about you?
I really don’t know the answer to this one. Self perception is a lot different to how others see me. I know I come across as a bitch sometimes. I’m not; I just don’t handle some things well. But I choose not to handle them. I choose to avoid them, and thus, appear coldhearted/bitchy. I'm not really. I promise =)
5. What’s one life experience you would like a do-over on?
A lot of people will say if you change the past, you change the present. If we think like that – I wouldn’t change a thing. I like where I am at present, for the most part.
If we ignore that rule, I might have chosen not to buy my house, it would make the travel & moving I want to do, a lot easier.
I might have picked something different to study at Tafe, I might have chosen to go to university, I might have pursued a different career from the outset.
BUT. Here I am. I’m not perfect, but I’m me, and that’s just perfect. For me.
