Graffiti on MY Page?

Well, well, well...I have been tagged by the ever stylish According to Te who just happens to live in the best city in Australia.

My 7 Songs of Winter

The rules are as follows:
1. List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now, shaping your Summer (or Winter as it is for me)
2. Post these instructions in your blog along with your 7 songs.
3. Then tag 7 other people to see what they’re listening to.

To list seven songs is hard as I just hear the song and think "yeah...I like that", by this stage the song is usually over and I've forgotten to listen out for what it's called and who sings it. So here is my list...

1 - Kate Perry - I Kissed A Girl - Oh my! This is a new phase of what has become socially acceptable. It is good, bad, raunchy, innocent, fun, serious and all GREAT. Very addictive tune, can be in your head for hours after you hear it and you still won't be sick of it. Us girls we are so magical, soft skin, red lips, so kissable. Hard to resist so touchable, too good to deny it. Ain't no big deal, it's innocent.

2 - Foxboro Hot Tubs - Mother Mary - The Foxboro Hot Tubs are a side project of Green Day. This song is really different for them and it's rather catchy. Take a ride on the midnight train
We’ll fall asleep at the station. Too much wine, driving me insane. And then we’ll miss our destination.

3 - Sara Bareilles - Love Song - This is a kinda strange song. It's very upbeat and "pretty", yet the basis is a girl telling a guy to get over himself. Yay for women! Convinced me to please you. Made me think that I need this too. I’m trying to let you hear me as I am.

4 - The Presets - This Boy's In Love - I'm not 100% sure why I like this song, but it's great, kinda dark, underground, very cool. Don't tell the world what we've known, we've come so far, but there's still a way to go. It's dark, there's no need for lights, when the fire in his eyes is so bright.

5 - Coldplay - Viva La Vida - So everyone loves this song and it may seem like I'm following the crowd, but I generally like this song. Somehow the bands I never used to like are developing a sound that I actually don't mind. I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing. Roman Cavalry choirs are singing. Be my mirror my sword and shield. My missionaries in a foreign field.

6 - Jason Mraz - I'm Yours - I first heard this song before I was even conscious. I heard a few words and fragments of the tune as I was waking, it forced me to wake up enough to draft a new sms containing the few words I heard. I later found out what the song was called and it had every reason to wake me up. Such a Summery song (good for Winter). Bendin' over backwards just to try to see it clearer, but my breath fogged up the glass and so I drew a new face and I laughed.

Now I'm not admitting either of these, so please don't judge me...but

7a - Pussy Cat Dolls - When I Grow Up - It COMPLETELY demeans and objectifies women, the one thing feminists have been trying to stop for the last 50 odd years. Unfortunately the song is rather catchy and I find myself turning the song up when it comes on. *shame* When I grow up, fresh and clean. Number one chick when I step out on the scene.

7b - Miley Cyrus - See you again - Urgh, teenie bopper classic pop song. And I like it. *double shame* The next time we hang out, I will redeem myself, my heart can't rest 'till then. Oh, I can't wait to see you again. *gag*

Now to tag 7 other people.
1 - Florida Cowgirl
2 - Trixie Meanie maybe you can make pictures of your songs over 7 days? =P
3 - The Girl Who Isn't Adri
4 - Nikki with Flair
5 - Elizabeth with Frills
6 - Bohemian Musings
7 - Fashoenista

And that is all...my 7 (8) songs of Winter...not really songs to keep you warm, but good songs nonetheless...none the less...none-the-less? Bh.

I'm so pleased other people have picked shameful songs too! I've already done this one (here, http://adriftintheblogosphere.blogspot.com/2008/06/ive-been-tagged-by-annah-of-fashion-art.html) and revealed my love of 80's rock and general weird stuff. Any street cred I ever had is now gone :-)

Haha, those last two songs. Hate to admit it but I find them both rather catchy too, expecially Miley. Oh the shame.
