Shock Horror!

If you missed this weeks entry into the Lovers' Diary, please go here.

So last night we went out for dinner to celebrate the BLB's birthday. Being half way between houses, I don't have that much to choose from when it comes to outfits. I think I tried on 3 or 4 different combinations before resorting to this.

This is what we call a fail safe outfit, for Bambola anyway.

Maxi-dress, scarf and jacket. Easy.

Dress it down? Wear casual flats (converse) and a cardi.

Dress it up? Wear heels or dressy flats and a dress jacket.

I dressed it up. You'll have to excuse the photos, I'm yet to find a consistent approach to photo locations and poses like the 'real' fashion bloggers.

If you're in Australia or have access to Cotton On, I would seriously recommend their scarves. The rest of their clothes can be avoided but their scarves are the lightest, softest, most versatile, most comfortable I've ever found and they're only AU$10.00. I have a deep red, this silver/grey so far. Eventually I want to have all the other colours!! When I got this one, they also had cream, black and navy. Perfect for winter.

This is the first time I've worn this one, but I wear my red one to death. It fits around your neck twice and still has length to tie at the ends. You can wear it thin & 'tight' so it looks less bulky, or really loose and big, like in the pictures. Seriously, worth buying as many as you can. Unfortunately, I don't think they're stocking dark grey any more so I'm very disappointed!

This is the kind of thing I will be packing lots of to layer and loop in my European Winter Travels.

ohhh! yes I have the exact same scarf my sister gave me from CTN! lol.. I'm not too fond of CTN, Valley girl etc.. it's an occasional thing - their quality isn't too flashy.. But yes, I actually wore that scarf last night! hehe, you look lovely - love your dress xo
