1 : Look into local clubs, groups, cities, towns.
2 : Join their mailing list
3 : Wait for emails of free music events, gallery showings, tours...etc
People on mailing lists generally get information before everyone else, this can include cheap/free entry, drink passes, vouchers for other things/stores.
Think of other mailing lists you might join, favourite clothing store, local radio station, department stores, boutique stores, local pub...the list is almost endless. What can you think of?
Also...keep in mind, people who like the place enough to sign up to a mailing list, have at least one thing in common...so it could be a great way to meet knew people if you let it!
