"Five Things That Made Me Smile Today"
1: We finally got our internet back at home!
This means I can upload a whole bundle of photos I realised I hadn't posted yet.
2: Three kids in the car in front of me on the way home.
They pulled their caps down over their faces, turned around and waved at me. So I did what every young adult reliving her childhood silliness would do. I waved back. Their reaction to this was to turn around and laugh amongst themselves. And repeat this a couple times.
3: I decided to go back to Melbourne. I've picked dates and everything. Just gotta pay for the tickets before I go broke on other things. (To be posted on at a later date)
4: Getting my first pay cheque for my new role. Woohoo to pay rises :) It's to be saved... or spent on a new pair of jeans, (which I need) or op-shopping, or another pair of shoes. So many options!
5: Finding another pair of shoes on GoJane.com, just gotta make sure I don't get charged for the second round of shipping.
What made you smile today? :)
That reminds me...I have a request for input.... I need to salvage a pair of jeans. I'm going to make them into knee length shorts for the summer. Currently, they are skinny jeans. What's the best (read : easiest and fastest) way to make them into shorts?
Another question. Again for the same pair of jeans. I find they come up too high, and are a bit loose. If I roll them down, they fit ok, and the height isn't bad. Is there a way to just chop off the top and attach it a bit lower so they fit better?
And if you're wondering why I bought them in the first place...please don't ask as I have NO idea.

I am sewingly challenged - i would take them to an altering shop. As for making some into shorts, cut little bits off at a time and always cut them with the jeans folded in half (so they are equal on both sides). Cut like 2 cm and then try them on. then another 2 cm. It's time consuming, but if you cut too much off you're going to be reveling more than you want to and you can't stick the fabric back on!!!
