Oh What A Wonderful World

This morning I was overcome by a sudden urge to bake cupcakes. The first tray turned out great...but I got a little distracted with the others. I did start on some bite-sized muffins too. I did about a dozen but by the time I'd taken them out of the oven, taken them out of the pan, arranged them on the board to cool, iced them, let the family have a taste...there were only three left.

I have no idea where they went! honest...

This morning brought delicious sunshine... perfect weather for doing well overdue washing!

Late this afternoon, I decided that my Nonna was also well overdue for a visit. For the first time in the 50+ years she's been in Australia, she went to Alfred's. She's lived down the road since 1951 and she might have bought them to eat at home, but she's never sat around the fire with the rest of the Alfred's family as is customary. I was overjoyed to convince her to go. She can take some convincing at times.


After I dropped her home, I visited a friend working a fly in/fly out job. I've not seen her for 2 months, so it was lovely to catch up on what's been happening. Our conversation runs for hours and changes topics numerous times, from friends and family, to loves and irks, work and play... life.

To top it off, on the way home, I saw an almost full moon just as it was rising. Stunning!


Nothing fancy for today...just a whole lot of wonderful!
