The More You Read, The More You Know

The more you know, the more you grow, so read read read...

Anyone else remember that little rhyme? Meh.

I got an award the other day. I'm not generally known for my award-worthy talent...

But, Miss Tiff saw it, and saw fit that it be acknowledged. So thank you Miss Tiff, you are too kind.

The Rules are pretty simple: Pass it on to five other bloggers, and tell them to open the nearest book to page 56. Write out the fifth sentence on that page, and also the next two to five sentences...The CLOSEST BOOK, NOT YOUR FAVORITE, OR MOST INTELLECTUAL!

I have to say, I did cheat a little, the closest book to me has no Page 56. Don't worry, it's not a 12pg book, it's a notebook. It doesn't have ANY page numbers.

So the next closest book is "The Blind Assassin" by Margaret Atwood.

"Over the years I've made a practice of coming here at least twice a year, to tidy up, if for no other reason. Once I drove, but no longer: my eyes are too bad for that. I bent over painfully and gathered up the withered flowers that had accumulated there, left by Laura's anonymous admirers, and stuffed them into my plastic shopping bag."
