It's Finally Summer!

We all know that with Summer comes days at the beach, afternoon barbecues, outdoor activities and maximum exposure to the sun.

While we always try our best to Slip, Slop, Slap, sometimes, no matter how much shade, sunscreen & clothing you have, you still manage to find some part of your body missed out on all that protection.

Most people swear by Aloe Vera, it cools the sunburn and stops the itching. What I struggle with, is the redness. Aloe doesn't take it away, so you're inundated with looks of disdain and silly questions about what you've done to be in such a state.

Now unfortunately for me, I have really fair skin and hate/hate relationship with the sun. I've been roasted so badly I'm surprised I'm not edible!

Recently someone mentioned this cream called DermAid.
After being roasted at Spring in the Valley, (see below) I coated myself repeatedly with it for the next 24 hours. By Monday morning, I had NO redness. I'm not exaggerating, my arms were normal, my chest was normal, my back was fine. I had nothing to hide. No dirty looks to face, no invading questions. What's better? Hardly any peeling. *glee*

Not that you would be as careless as I, but if you do get burnt, get yourself some Dermaid. It's cheap & it is sent from the heavens!

Go & Burn No More

Oh poor you! Sunburns are a bitch. Because I live on a tropical island, i have to be super careful with my skin. When I burn, I peel in patches its horrible! You should always put sunblock on your arms, face and chest and if you can on your back too. But I will try this Dermaid when I get another really shitty one, thanx for the tip. =)

aww sweetie sunburns are the pits!

i live in Texas, which borders Mexico. You can buy prescription drugs there without a prescription... So every time we go down there we stock up on prescription burn cream, for radiation and 3rd degree burns... it might not be "medically recommended" but it will clear up your sunburn basically overnight. Not to mention relieve your pain and help prevent peeling/scarring...

since you don't live close to mexico though, i don't know! :[
