I saw them, off in the distance. Quietly heaving, throwing their contents on the unsuspecting. I thought they'd been and gone. I thought I was safe. I thought it was Summer. I was wrong.
I left my window open as it all started. Big, fat, wet drops of rain rolling down windows, (1) forming spots on my arm. The slow increase of rainfall, until looking out my windscreen became impossible. (2) The feature of rain running down, making me feel as though I were underwater.
These things made me smile today. It's the tenth day of Summer. You would think the skies would be blue & clear of cloud. I suppose we need the rain, it's always nice to cosy up in the evenings.
In other news.
(3) I've had some issues lately between organising my birthday for next year (it's a little bit of a big one), saving enough money to go overseas & looking at buying a property.
There's been some progress! And it's progress in the right direction which is always a good thing.
(4) Also watching Nigella make food sexual is the perfect way to unwind.
(5) Woah! Just looked at the telly. For the first time in my life I question the sexual orientation of some football players. Running in a crop top (sports bra)?? It's not as though they actually have boobs! & yeah, that made me smile too :)
What have you been up to this week? What are your reasons to smile?

I am loving the thunder. And the rain is quite warm so you don't need an umbrella :)
And I am loving your prose - your blog posts get more and more luscious every day my sweet.
I love that I have only 9 more days to go, the Simpsons ripping off the OC, the fact that my face looks really different in photos without makeup compared to with makeup and Tres Lola's latest post is making me smile with the possibilities of making a little space just for me.

Oh man, it is so hot here and your description of those juicy big fat rain drops is making me salivate! Almost as much as watching Nigella makes me salivate...for a number of reasons ;).
